2009 crowds were delighted by the colourful handcrafted floats as they proudly paraded down Centennial Ave

The Procession is the cornerstone of the Festival, this is where it all started in the early 50’s. Lead by the Alexandra Pipe band and ended  by the Senior Blossom Queen Jennifer Bowie and her two Matrons Joan Shirley and Christine Butler a pageant of intricately designed floats, bands, walking groups and special vehicles proudly paraded through the heart of Alexandra. The coveted 'Best Float' prize was decided by public vote at the HireQuip Saturday in the Park.
