Supporters and spectators braved the cold conditions to cheer on competitors as they traversing the Round the Clock race course.
 

Tarbert St Mardi Gras

Friday 27th September 2013, 7pm-9pm
Following on from its return in 2011, this old favourite was again the traditional start of the festival in 2012. The retail area of Lower Tarbert St was closed to traffic, for a host of activities, for young and not so young.
 

Grand Procession

Alexandra glows when spring blossoms herald the start of spring and light up Centennial Avenue enhancing the highly successful and colourful Parade.

Princesses

An Alexandra Blossom Festival  would not be complete without the Float Princesses and in 2012 there were 12 young women on the 12 competitive floats.

Saturday in the Park

Contact Energy Saturday in the Park provided a wide selection of entertainers and stall holders, great entertainment and  an up-close look at floats and princesses. An estimated 10,000 people enjoyed the variety of entertainment for young and old.

Garden Tour

Sunday 29th & Monday 30th September 2013
About 600 keen gardeners and new gardeners browsed 10 gardens, enjoyed a sumptuous afternoon tea and delighted in Cuddly Cook, Annabel White’s demonstrations.

Thunder Sunday

Lots of Noise and lots of smoke up at the Alexandra airport dragged in about 2000 onlookers for this drag-racing event.

WoolOn™ Creative Fashion Event

11th & 12th October 2013
A unique fashion and design event encouraging the creative use of Wool in fashion. In 2013 more than 60 innovative designs gathered huge applause from the appreciative crowds on both nights.
 

2012 had a myriad of interesting supporting events in and around Alexandra during Festival week. A big thank you to all of these great groups that registered for the 2012 events.
